Glocom GX-9 FleetBroadband FB250 Class Terminal
The
Glocom's GX-9 is an Inmarsat Fleetbroadband FB-250 class, user
terminal designed to support a variety of broadband global area
network services including IP packet data (up to 384kbps in
shared channel), Streaming (8,16,32,64 and 128kbps), 3.1KHz
audio or fax and secured voice, and low-rate AMBE telephony
circuit-switched voice services. GX9 operates under the Inmarsat
4th generation satellites on global coverage.

GX9 consist of two separate modules: ADE (Above Deck Equipment)
and BDE (Below Deck Equipment) and connected by a coaxial cable.
The ADE features a helical antenna, a 3-axis stabiliser with
automatic satellite tracking, a GPS receiver, and a front-end
RFU. The BDE contains an enhanced FB250 core module with crystal
oscillator durable for the marine shock/vibration environment,
a wide range (11 to 32 vdc) DC?DC Power Module and interface
Module housed in a ruggerised chassis shock mount for desk top
or rack installation. The GX9 ADE is shielded in a compact,
fibreglass cylindrical dome roughly 27cm in height and 33cm
